Ho hum. Just another week in the NFL. So many close games and exciting finishes .... so many wins in the last
seconds of play. And for the most part, the favorites got very lucky and pulled out squeaker wins in the final moments.
And as a result, Jennifer V and Diane L again made it Ladies' Day, walking off with the top two prizes, just as
they did in Week 7. Both of them went big on the favorites in the morning, then nailed the upsets by Dallas and
Cleveland in the afternoon. Jennifer says, "Thank goodness for the miracle in Dallas!" .... and Diane says, "Thank
goodness the Chargers had a bye!"
Moping around and kicking the dirt are members of the "So-Close-And-Still-Winless Club", Howard M and Rick K,
who are desperate to get on the scoreboard, but came up an agonizing ONE POINT SHY. Rick blames the Eagles
for fumbling late in the 4th quarter .... and Howard, as always, blames Scott Hanson.
