How the mighty have fallen. Another big week of upsets and it looks like the Chiefs, Ravens and Cowboys will not
make the playoffs .... Go figure. Even the "powerhouse" Lions and the "best in league" Colts are on the outside
looking in .... Mighty strange. And who has risen to the Big Boys Club in 2025? .... The Patriots? The Bears? The
Jaguars? .... What a CRAZY, UPSIDE DOWN football world this is. Strange days indeed.
To restore some semblance of balance to our football pool, two of our perennial powerhouses took the top spots in a very
tough week. Rob B picked two of the modest upsets (Jags, Chargers) and saved points on two big losers (Chiefs,
Ravens) to walk off with the top prize. Diane L had mostly the same picks, but lost too many points on the Chiefs and
Commanders and came up a single point shy. And Rick K is now a long term resident at the Heartbreak Hotel,
as he keeps knocking on the door, but no one lets him in. To make up for it, Valerie A took home the score prize
as the Chargers clipped the Eagles in a Monday Night thriller.
