Rules

  1. How to Play - Pick the winner of each game and rank each game from 1 to 16 points (for a 16 game week). Put the highest points on the games you have the most confidence in. If your team wins, you get the number of points you assigned to that game. If a game ends in a tie, both teams win. The 1st Place Winner is the one with the most points on winning teams. The 2nd Place winner is the one with the next highest total.

  2. Tiebreaker - All ties (1st Place and 2nd Place) will be decided by the Monday Night tiebreaker game.

  3. Monday Nighter - The Monday Night Winner will be whoever has picked the winning team AND is closest to the final game score. If no one has picked the winning team, then the Monday Night Winner is whoever is closest to the final score. Closest to the final score is determined by adding the number of points away from each team's individual score. For example, if the final score is Dallas 27 and Denver 17, and you predicted Dallas 24 and Denver 20, the points away is 3 + 3 = 6 (and you have the winning team). If you predicted Dallas 20 and Denver 24, then the points away is 7 + 7 = 14 (but you have the losing team, which will lose to anyone who picked the winning team).

  4. Must Play - Once you begin playing, you must play every week or you will be dropped from the pool. Special requests for a "no-play" week due to travel must be requested in advance.

  5. Thursday Picks - You may submit picks for the Thursday game ONLY, then submit the rest of your picks later in the week (no later than one hour before game time on Saturday or Sunday morning). If you choose to do this, when you submit the picks for the later games, the points you enter for the Thursday game MUST match the points you originally entered. If they don't match, the Commissioner will reassign points on the later picks.

  6. Picks Deadline - Your picks must be received no later than ONE HOUR prior to game time. If you miss the deadline for a Thursday game, you will be given the favorite (assigned one point). You can then make the remainder of your picks later in the week. If you miss the Sunday (or Saturday) deadline, you will be sent a reminder by text. If you don't respond, you will be given random computer picks and a 20% penalty fee will be deducted from any winnings.

  7. SPECIAL COVID RULES - These are rules to cover games that are postponed or cancelled by Covid-related issues.

    - If a game is postponed to later in the same week, no changes will be made to the picks. The Monday Night game will still be the tie-breaker and score prize game.

    - If a game is cancelled after the Thursday game, you can resubmit your Sunday picks (if you have already made them) OR the Commissioner will re-adjust your picks without the cancelled game (all games with higher points will be dropped by one point).

    - If a game is cancelled after the Sunday games have started, the cancelled game will be considered a tie and all points on that game will be counted as a winner.

  8. Playoff Pool - Participation in the Playoff Pool is optional. A separate entry is required. Prizes are awarded for 1st Place (50%), 2nd Place (30%) and Super Bowl Score (20%). Playoff Picks will be made in a two-phase process: Week 1 picks are due before the Week 1 games begin, and picks for the remainder of the games are due before the Week 2 games begin. Points assigned to the winning teams will increase each week: Week 1 games are 1 to 4 points, Week 2 games are 5 to 8 points, Week 3 games are 9 to 10 points, and the Super Bowl winner is 11 points. All ties (1st Place and 2nd Place) will be decided by the Super Bowl Score. The Super Bowl Score winner will be whoever has picked the winning conference (AFC or NFC) AND is closest to the final game score. If no one has picked the winning conference, then the Super Bowl Score winner is whoever is closest to the final score.
